Zara Autumn Style Edit

I have always approached early autumn with a lot of excitement for many reasons but the top of that list has to be the clothes. In my opinion the sartorial selection that is introduced to shops for the autumn/fall season always contains the best fashion finds of the whole year, and since I noticed a nip in the air over the past few days I decided to peruse the Zara website to see what the brand had to offer this early in the season and, as usual, I was far from disappointed.

I must admit it took me a while to really fall for Zara when it came to Ireland. So many friends who lived in or visited countries that stocked the brand always raved about their clothes but when the brand finally arrived in Ireland I found I just couldn't find anything that really drew me in for quite a long time. But suddenly, a few years ago, this completely changed and now it has become my first port of call and at the very top of my high street clothes shop favourites.

I particularly love going to Zara at the very start of autumn so I have the pick of the bunch of the best autumn clothes before they're all snapped up and, as usual, the little pile of Zara tops, dresses, and the most amazing scarf I've ever seen, I bought in Zara this time last year, all remained my favourites for the rest of the year.
The top image features a Zara scarf, jumper and cardi and the bottom one features a dress, all from last year's Zara autumn collection. They're all still firm favourites in my wardrobe!

So now that time of year has come around again, and after a ridiculous amount of time on the Zara website drooling over every second item, here's my edit of the pick of the early autumnal bunch, all of which I want now... especially that coat!

Coat of the season:

The highlight of the whole summer-into-autumn collection for me was this gorgeous orange wool coat; it's at the top of my want list for autumn. It's right on trend both with orange being one of the hottest colours this year and it is a shade that reflects the falling leaves of autumn. I love how bright it is too, adding a bit of colour to the season but it's also so snuggy it can make the perfect transition into winter too.

Zara is always such a reliable place to find cute tops and dresses and this bunch is my pick of  the best of what's available right now:

Dresses:

I'm still cuckoo for collars and the colours in this dress are just gorgeous and it seems like the perfect transition dress from summer into autumn. Plus I think it would look perfect with the orange wool coat.

The dress below is very simple and autumny. Plus the fact that it has pockets makes it many times more appealing! I'm also loving the knee sock wearing that's started again recently...

Blouses:

I have so many tops like this one but the plain black blouse with the white Peter Pan collar is a style classic and I can't get enough of them!

Tops:

Finally, a Zara staple. The casual tee is always a reliable find in Zara and I find these two particularly appealing. You can't go wrong with Breton in the top pic and I just love the white long sleeve top with a neon pink heart below.
