YSL's Saharienne Sun-Kissed Summer Collection

Yves Saint Laurent really know how to nail their seasonal makeup collections matching the latest high fashion catwalk trends with the perfect summer palette and this latest Saharienne range, fronted yet again by Cara Delevinge, helps you at least look like you've been summering in the Sahara without ever leaving this never-ending rainy summer.

The very first impression you get from YSL's latest Saharienne summer collection is of a palette of colours designed to give you the perfect sun-kissed glow. Inspired by the sunnier climes of Marakech, the range of golden sandy shades and warmer tones illuminate the complexion suiting those with pale to sun-kissed complexions.

The highlights of the range for me by far are the Couture Palette No. 12 Mauresques (€49.50) and, my particular favourite, Les Sahariennes Bronzing Palette 1 & 7 (€31). The eye shadow palette features a gorgeous, silky mix of warm golden to earthy shades, perfect to match a sun-kissed glow. Depending on your skin tone and level of colour on your face you can choose to layer it up as naturally or as strikingly as you want and it's also a great all year round palette giving a gorgeous warm tone to your eyes.

Les Sahariennes Bronzing Palette is a creamy bronzer that comes in a variety of shades from very light to quite dark to suit either skin that hasn't seen a speck of sun all summer or those who have just come home from a sun holiday and want to accentuate and maintain their tan. The bronze palette is also great for contouring and I've learned it works so well with YSL's Touche Éclat for a gorgeous natural, contoured look. It's so silky and creamy it also gives your skin a lovely texture all round. Designed to be applied on the parts of your face that the sun naturally hits, adding Touche Eclat gives your complexion an additional glow making your skin looked tanned and healthy all year round.

The rest of the collection complements the warm desert-themed shades perfectly with warm orangey reds (No 61 Brun Henne) and yellows (No 62 Jaune Babouche) for nails (€24).

Lastly, to top the look off, YSL has added two lip glosses to match the colour scheme and to add a burst of colour to the look coming in my favourite, No 50 Orange Sagatte pictured below and a darker, plummier red No 107 Bordeaux Sarouel, both €25.
The La Saharienne Summer 2015 Collection from YSL is launched since June and is available at YSL counters throughout the country now.
